It all started with a dream to own a mini cow. Fast-forward to today and our family raises mini milk cows for family homesteads, mini donkeys as pals or pets, and offers cattle AI & bull borrowing services. Our target audience is small family farms or homesteads local to Waco, Texas, or within 60 miles.

Mini Homestead Cows

After reading Keeping a Family Cow, we decided that family cow ownership needs to come back around as a priority. If the COVID pandemic showed us anything, it's that we can't rely on other sources and establishments to provide the nutrition we need for our families. And don't even get me started on the milk industry. We all deserve the high-quality health benefits that comes from milk straight off the cow. Unique Homestead Crossbreeds

We cross dairy breeds like Jersey & Guernsey to beef breeds, like Belted Galloway & Highland. Most of our calves should net out to around 42" - 44" in height, unless otherwise specified. This height allows for easy milking, but requires less grazing acreage and feed than a full-size.

Between these crossings, we produce a hardy, resilient family milk cow that's smaller in size.

AI & Bull Borrowing

Starting in March 2024, we're offering Artificial Insemination for cattle. It's our goal to build a relationship with our local homestead families and be a resource for their breeding needs.

If you'd prefer, you can also borrow our bulls when they're "out of season." Our bulls can come to you, or you can come to them. Health testing is required to borrow our bulls.

Mini Donkeys

We raise mini donkeys purely for enjoyment. Our jack, Frederick "Freddy" is a border-line micro, last measured at 29" at a year old. We have three jennets currently, but may add more as time goes on. Two of our jennets are possibly bred from where we acquired them (acquired December 2023).
