Ingredients
- 1 gallon of raw whole milk
- 1 cup of yogurt (must contain live cultures)
- 1 tbsp of pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of sugar
Directions
- Pour the raw whole milk in your instapot
- Whisk in the yogurt really well
- Press the yogurt button on the instapot, choose low for 24 hours
- Cover the instapot, it doesn't seal on this setting
- Go enjoy your life for 24 hours
- When the instapot completes the 24 hour cycle, transfer the yogurt to glass mason jars
- Refridgerate for 24 hours
- Strain the yogurt for 4 to 8 hours, depending on desired thickness, using doubled-cheesecloth or a yogurt bag. I do 8 hours because I like it super thick.
- In a mixing bowl, add the yogurt, vanilla, and sugar
- Use a hand-mixer to whisk the ingredients together and remove any clumps
- Enjoy the best yogurt you'll ever have in your life
