Ingredients

  • 1 gallon of raw whole milk
  • 1 cup of yogurt (must contain live cultures)
  • 1 tbsp of pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of sugar

Directions

  1. Pour the raw whole milk in your instapot
  2. Whisk in the yogurt really well
  3. Press the yogurt button on the instapot, choose low for 24 hours
  4. Cover the instapot, it doesn't seal on this setting
  5. Go enjoy your life for 24 hours
  6. When the instapot completes the 24 hour cycle, transfer the yogurt to glass mason jars
  7. Refridgerate for 24 hours
  8. Strain the yogurt for 4 to 8 hours, depending on desired thickness, using doubled-cheesecloth or a yogurt bag. I do 8 hours because I like it super thick.
  9. In a mixing bowl, add the yogurt, vanilla, and sugar
  10. Use a hand-mixer to whisk the ingredients together and remove any clumps
  11. Enjoy the best yogurt you'll ever have in your life
